hi, again, very good work, and nice idea to toggle conky one bug(not yours): if you use conky>1.7 , you need to compile it from the source to enable imlib2 like it's show here [link] , if not, conky isn't able to display images. another thing: if you use compiz as standalone manager (like me) without panel-launcher, you can add a command in ccsm to toggle on/off conky with a hotkey/screen edge/mouse-special-button. if you use openbox, you can add a command to launch in your ~/.config/openbox/rc.xml pointing on 'check'.
hi yeah i know, you can use conky as widget with compiz. but then, the battery_bar isn´t visible, too and i have a notebook and want to see it always. that´s why and because i wanted to figure out how it works, i created the toggle thing
i got conky 18.104.22.168 from getdeb without any probs, but i know, that there can be probs with imlib sometimes
hmmm, it´s a kewl idea...but there´s one problem my time i´m selfemployed and at the moment i´m working around 12 hours per day (yeah, 7 days per week)...but i think, in january it will be a little bit better
thx a lot! i´m using gnome, since the new xfce is not as well as the older for me the black panel is part of my theme (Biergarten and Biergarten2) and for the icons, i changed them in my used icon theme by hand
