Can't scrot do this? I tried but it didn't work with gnome3 workspaces. Will look around for some more ideas.

scrot does single screen shots, you have to put them togethe with gimp or something like this

Aside from that, very nice subtle hints for such a 'flat' layout. Very appealing to look at, as well as to work with I'm sure.
