i for example prefer the qtcurve theme engine, but there other nice looking engines, too (bespin, oxygen...)
you can found the basic settings in system settings>>appearance
there you can choose the style (engine) and also setup your favorite colors

you have a lot of possibilities, so plz have a look into the settings and then tell me, what you want to know exactly
